Florasensia is kept by its own committee, on a platform called OurHub. These are the plain terms for anyone reading or using it.
What is here, and how right it is
The notices, events and pages here are written by volunteers who are trying to get it right, not by a newsroom. Times change, halls get double-booked, and a phone number goes out of date. Check anything you are relying on, especially before travelling for it.
Emergency information
This site is not an emergency service. Warnings shown here are relayed automatically from official feeds and can be delayed or incomplete. In an emergency call 000. For current information use the Hazards Near Me app, rfs.nsw.gov.au, bom.gov.au and ses.nsw.gov.au.
Not every warning here is relayed. A person or group OurHub has recognised as an emergency service — a Rural Fire Service brigade, an SES unit — can also post one, and where they have, their name is on it. Recognition is granted by OurHub and cannot be given by a committee to itself.
Anything else Florasensia needs you to know appears as a notice in this site's own colours. A notice is not a warning. It has not come from an agency, and the Advice, Watch and Act and Emergency Warning colours of the Australian Warning System are never used for one.
What you send us
When you fill in a form here you are sending it to Florasensia's committee. Please keep it accurate and civil, and do not send anything about someone else that they would not want sent. How your details are handled is on the privacy page.
Other people's material
Photographs and writing here belong to whoever made them. Ask before reusing anything. If something here is yours and should not be, or is wrong, use the Report a problem link at the bottom of any page — it reaches OurHub, who host this site, rather than the committee, and is read by a real person.
